** This estimate is based on figures that are projections of the data available to date, applied to the new period, and including deaths in the event or as a consequence of it within 30 days, according to the most general international criteria. The figures used are the latest available (of police, municipal or other sources), updated. As the vast majority of the original figures only count the deaths at the time of the accident, they have also been corrected according to internationally accepted indices, in order to allow a serious appraisal, study and comparison of mortality in road accidentology in Argentina. These figures are not official statistics, nor are they intended to replace them.
