In the schools’ category, we had the opportunity to enjoy the live performance of the students of one of the winners of this year, the Mater Dolorosa Institute from the City of Buenos Aires, participant of the Program Conduciendo por La Vida, accompanied by their teachers and principals.
Moreover, in the "Company" category, the winners stood out especially for working seriously and systematically in education and road awareness for high school students, private drivers and professionals and communities in which they are present. A company was also awarded for including a clear road safety message in its service advertising.
This year, UNARSEV - Argentine Union of Organizations and Citizens for Road Safety -, and IVRP - International Victims Road Partnership – were introduced, new associations that seek to contribute to road safety in Argentina and the world.
With regard to television news, news agencies and graphic media, the winners stand out for their constant and permanent dissemination and coverage of issues related to road awareness, making an important contribution to improve traffic and road safety, such as the outstanding special reports and information on the topic by Telefe News.
This year, in the newspapers’ category, several national and media from the interior of the country were distinguished, and the “Diario Popular” newspaper received the Luchemos por la Vida Silver Award. The statuette of the maximum award of 2019 was given to Maximiliano Montenegro, journalist.
Luchemos por la Vida is constantly grateful to the media for the support by spreading the awareness campaign, in radios, television channels, signals and other audiovisual media, and this appreciation is reflected in these highlighted categories in each edition of the Awards. Although it is not possible to reward them all, the winners represent all the media in the country that voluntarily collaborate with us for years.
The closing words of the ceremony were given by Lic. Isoba, Director of Research and Road Education of Luchemos por la Vida.
The ceremony ended with a toast of honor, a pleasant moment shared with those present, which is extended to all those who accompanied us from a distance.
Congratulations to all who were awarded by Luchemos por la Vida
