For 27 years, Luchemos por la Vida has recognized those who, from their different fields of work or with their lives, have been making an outstanding contribution to road safety for the care of life in traffic. The event was held on Monday, November 27, in the auditorium of UCEMA (CEMA University), in the city of Buenos Aires.
Lic. María Cristina Isoba, President of Luchemos por la Vida, opened the ceremony.
This year, the departure of the Founder and President Dr. Alberto Silveira, has been an enormous and painful loss for Luchemos por la Vida. As an expression of our gratitude for the immeasurable legacy received, a video tribute was projected. It reflected some of the values that motivated him to dedicate the last three decades of his life to this cause, for the promotion of the care of life in traffic.
Afterwards, Héctor Gay, Mayor of the City Of Bahía Blanca, province of Buenos Aires, one of the localities that received the 2022 Award for the implementation of the project that reduces the maximum speed to 30 hm/h on streets, said a few words.
The award winners, from all over the country, from different fields and occupations, road safety educators, municipalities, companies, media, educational institutions, television news and radio programs, public transport drivers, have stood out during the last year for promoting the prevention of traffic incidents and creating public awareness on the subject.
In the Schools category, professor Ignacio Paunero and students of the Instituto Superior de Formación Técnica Nº 192 from Baradero, province of Buenos Aires, received the Award.
This year's winner in the Exemplary Driver category was the bus driver Carlos Oscar Pirillo of Línea 145, Interno 501, of Empresa Rosario Guaraní of Buenos Aires.
On the other hand, in the Company category, the Award was received by A-Evangelista SA AESA.
In the Advertising category, Campaña publicitaria “Parking” of Cerveza Heineken 0.0 CCU Argentina received the Award.
In the case of Television, radio and print media, the award winners were Telefe Noticias of Buenos Aires and Canal Misiones Cuatro of Posadas, province of Misiones.
This year, in the Newspaper category, Diario El Día La Plata, province of Buenos Aires was distinguished. In the Journalism category, Revista Todo Riesgo received the Award.
As for Municipalities, Área de la Juventud from Victoria, province of Entre Ríos, was awarded.
In the Investigation category, Fundación Trauma received the Award.
Moreover, Universidad Siglo 21 of Córdoba, was awarded in the University category.
Canal 5 Noticias C5N was recognized in the TV Channel category. FM 91.7 Radio Alfa of Mburucuyá, province of Corrientes, Radio Mitre of Buenos Aires, FM 87.5 Radio Soldados of Buenos Aires were awarded in the Radio category. The Estrellas por la Vida of Fundación Estrellas Amarillas radio program of Viedma, province of Río Negro, also received the Award.
In this edition, Asociación Civil Concientizar para Prevenir from Villa Carlos Paz, province of Córdoba, was recognized for their Institutional Trajectory.
Among the Audiovisual media, Time Networks received the Luchemos por la Vida Silver Award 2023 for their permanent broadcasting of the road safety education campaigns developed by this Association on their LED screens.
